A contract between “SWECO Soyuz Engineering”, “North Hydro” and the State Company “Vnesheconombank” has been signed

The CJSC “SWECO Soyuz Engineering”, JSC “Nord Hydro” and the state company “Vnesheconombank” signed a contract for rendering services of Customer Engineer on administration of the project of construction and reconstruction of eight small scale hydropower plants with installed power 400-900 kW in the Republic of Karelia.

Using the power of small flows with the help of small scale hydropower plants is one of the most effective directions of development of alternative energetics. Due to the reconstruction of small scale hydropower plants the government of Karelia is planning to solve the problem of power shortage of remote regions of the republic without prejudice to the environment of the region. For this project the company SWECO Soyuz Engineering will render for the Customer engineering, legal services, services of supervising the project budget with submission of reports to the bank on the course of its implementation. The completion of the works on the contract is planned for the end of 2016.

The JSC “Nord Hydro” — managing hydro generating company, assuming the functions of customer at designing, new construction and reconstruction of hydraulic engineering structures, using its own resources operates hydropower plants, takes an active part in law making and initiatives in support and development of small scale hydropower plants.
