CJSC SWECO SOYUZ Engineering to carry out technological and price audit of sea port under construction on the Yamal Peninsula

CJSC SWECO SOYUZ Engineering (CJSC SSE) will carry out a public technological and price audit relevant to public contracts for construction of a seaport nearby the Settlement of Sabetta on the Yamal Peninsula (Tyumen Region). The Company has entered into the relevant agreement with OJSC Sberbank of Russia (the Bank) involved in banking support of the port facilities being constructed.

Under the contract terms and conditions, CJSC SSE will assess feasibility of design solutions adopted and provide the construction cost estimate of the port facilities in the developed design and estimate documentation, analysis of the terms of works already performed and their compliance with the requirements of the documentation, analysis of the cost of works performed. The company will also monitor the process of construction of the port facilities until commissioning, including control over construction terms, confirm compliance with the project budget, and analyze subcontracts with construction companies. In the course of work, SWECO SOYUZ Engineering will provide the Bank with proposals to optimize the project implementation timing and cost and to improve the efficiency of design and process solutions.

Construction of the sea port in the Settlement of Sabetta was launched in 2012 and is still underway. It is intended for transshipment of liquefied natural gas (LNG) delivered from the Yuzhno-Tambeyskoye field to be produced at the 15-16 million tons per year LNG plant under construction next to the port. Natural gas, crude oil and gas condensate will be supplied from the port by sea to Western Europe, North and South America and the Asia-Pacific region. The construction customer is represented by the Federal Agency of Sea and River Transport (Rosmorrechflot).
