Feasibility study of construction of the steam-turbine power plant for the JSC “Tobolsk-Neftekhim”

The CJSC “SWECO Soyuz Engineering” has accomplished development of the Feasibility Study of Investment into construction of a backpressure steam-turbine power plant on the territory of the enterprise “Tobolsk – Neftekhim”.

In order to meet the production demands the JSC “Tobolsk – Neftekhim” needs process steam with specific parameters. Currently the necessary parameters of process steam are achieved by deceleration of the initial steam in pressure-reducing desuperheating stations. The construction of the steam-turbine power plant will allow the enterprise to reduce the initial steam parameters down to the necessary values with additional electricity generation.

In accordance with the Terms of Reference, the works were divided into three stages: prefeasibility study, necessary for further development of the Feasibility Study of Investment; elaboration of versions of the steam-turbine power plant with different power and producers; detailed feasibility study of versions of the steam-turbine power plant, chosen by agreement with the Customer from among the versions, considered at the previous stage.

Within the framework of the developed Feasibility Study of Investment the Customer was proposed a number of versions of the steam-turbine power plant with different power (up to 10.5 MW). All the works were performed by the company SWECO Soyuz Engineering within the term, indicated in the Contract.

The JSC “Tobolsk – Neftekhim” (part of SIBUR Holding) is a modern enterprise, oriented at reprocessing of crude hydrocarbons — broad fraction of light hydrocarbons, including: liquid gas production: propane, isobutene, n-butane, isopentane, n-pentane, hexane; monomer production for the industry of synthetic rubber: butadiene, isobutylene; production of MTBE — high-octane additive for motor gasoline.
