Launching a trawler "Kapitan Vdovichenko"

On the eve of the Fisherman Day, Russian President Vladimir Putin took part via videoconference in the ceremony of raising the Russian flag on new fishing vessels built at domestic shipyards under the program for upgrading the production capacities of the fishery complex with state support, kremlin.ru reports.

The national flag was raised on the large freezing fishing trawlers Kapitan Vdovichenko and Kapitan Sokolov, as well as on the longline fishing vessel Gandvik-1.

The head of state was presented with a large freezing fishing trawler Captain Sokolov. It is equipped with a fish processing factory where cod and haddock fillets and also fishmeal can be produced. 

Another large fishing freezer trawler "Kapitan Vdovichenko" is designed for the production of pollock and herring with deep and waste-free processing of the catch.
