Reliability run of the Adler CHP
Reliability run of the power plant has been successfully accomplished at the construction site of the Adler CHP. Two power units of the CHP provided stable failure-free load 360 MW during 72 hours.
“Test heat power delivery to the Olympic facilities was performed early in October – said the project leader from the CJSC “SWECO Soyuz Engineering” Alexander Juravlev. And the reliability run was successfully accomplished at the beginning of November. So currently we can say that the power plant is in operation. The CJSC “SWECO Soyuz Engineering” is continuing working on the implementation of the project. The participation of the company in the construction is not limited by detailed design documentation expertise – as Owner Engineer we participate in the acceptance of construction and erection works at the site, acceptance of results of adjustment works, financial control over the project”.
Currently the contractor is actively working on implementing corrections, received in the course of the reliability run, as well as in the course of construction and adjustment. The next stage will be the receipt of the statement of conformity from the Russian Technical Supervision Service. Also, in the nearest future all the participants of construction will have to apply major efforts on execution of documents, necessary for commissioning of the power plant, as well as perform Warranty tests.
The Adler CHP is one of the most important infrastructure facilities of the winter Sochi Olympic Games 2014. The CHP will provide heat and power for sporting venues, housing complexes of the Olympic village, as well as for the nearest regions.
The commissioning of the power plant is planned for December, 2012.
