SWECO SOYUZ Engineering successfully completed the project for construction support of new power unit for CHPP-16

SWECO SOYUZ Engineering (OJSC SSE, a member of SOYUZ Holding) experts optimized design solutions during construction of a new combined-cycle unit at CHPP-16, OJSC Mosenergo in Moscow. Currently, the 420 MW power unit has been put into operation.

CJSC SSE experts participated as Technical Agents of OJSC Mosenergo in this project and examined and optimized the implemented design solutions and detailed documentation. In particular, SWECO SOYUZ Engineering experts verified compliance of the developed basic and detailed design documentation with the contract requirements and applicable laws in terms of shape and content; adequacy and relevance of technical solutions adopted in the developed documentation to optimize the cost of the facility through use of advanced technical solutions; compliance of the developed detailed documentation with the approved basic design package. Throughout the entire construction phase, CJSC SSE provided its comments to the Customer for their timely implementation.

A technical team was formed to render CJSC SSE’s services. Being a dedicated company having necessary resources available and experience in rendering services as a Technical Agent for construction of power plants, the Company experts rendered advisory services associated with the adopted technical solutions in terms of their compliance with the up-to-date international practice over the entire period of the facility construction.

Commissioning of the new power unit more than doubles the electrical capacity of CHPP-16 significantly improving reliability of power supply to consumers in the north-west part of Moscow.
